SHREE KRISHNA JANMASHTAMI CELEBRATION 2026-27

Krishna Janmashtami was celebrated with great joy, devotion and enthusiasm at Vivekananda Kendra Zilla Parishad Vidyalaya, Kadamtala, on 4th September 2026 (Friday). The programme was attended by 16 teachers, 4 non-teaching staff, 215 students and 75 parents. The Chief Guest was warmly welcomed by the students and teachers.

The programme began with a prayer seeking the blessings of Lord Krishna. This was followed by a welcome address and a teacher’s speech highlighting the importance and significance of Janmashtami. The speech also reminded the students about the teachings of Lord Krishna, such as truth, kindness, duty and devotion.

Students from different classes presented beautiful dances and devotional songs based on the life and teachings of Lord Krishna. Their colourful performances added joy and devotion to the celebration. The students performed with great confidence and enthusiasm, and their performances were appreciated by everyone present.

A Radha-Krishna Get-up Competition was also organized for the students. Students of Class BV-2, BV-3, Class 1 and Class 2 participated in the competition. The children dressed up beautifully as Radha and Krishna and displayed their creativity and enthusiasm. The competition created a cheerful and festive atmosphere in the school.

The entire programme was conducted smoothly with the active participation and cooperation of students, teachers and parents. At the end of the programme, a teacher delivered the vote of thanks and expressed gratitude to the Chief Guest, parents, teachers and students for their valuable support and participation.

The celebration concluded on a joyful note with the distribution of Prasad among everyone. The programme helped the students understand the importance of Janmashtami and enjoy the festival in a meaningful and memorable way.
