GANDHI JAYANTI AND SHASTRI JAYANTI

 On 2nd October 2024, Vivekananda Kendra Zilla Parishad Vidyalaya Kadamtala celebrated Gandhi Jayanti and Shastri Jayanti with great enthusiasm. The event began by  tributes to Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri.

Rai Kishori madam , Pranav sir and students delivered insightful speeches highlighting the contributions of both national leaders. Teachers emphasized Gandhi’s principles of non-violence and truth, while students spoke on Shastri’s leadership qualities .





Spuriya Madam and Tanavee madam performed melodious ‘Raghu pati raghav raja ram’ song . Their performances evoked a sense of pride and respect for the nation. Additionally, the students showcased a graceful dance performance, paying homage to the values upheld by Gandhi and Shastri.

The program concluded with a vote of thanks and Shantipath, leaving everyone motivated to follow the ideals of these two great leaders in their daily lives.

GANESH CHATURTHI



VKZPV KADAMTALA CELEBRATED GANESH CHATURTHI 

 On 7th September 2024, Vivekananda Kendra Zilla Parishad Vidyalaya, Kadamtala, celebrated Ganesh Chaturthi with great enthusiasm and devotion. The event began with the traditional installation of Lord Ganesha’s idol in the school premises, beautifully decorated by students and teachers.

The celebration commenced with a prayer ceremony, invoking the blessings of Lord Ganesha, the remover of obstacles and the symbol of wisdom. The students of different classes participated in the rituals with devotion, offering flowers and chanting prayers.

 


The cultural program that followed included devotional songs and bhajans sung by students and teachers, creating a divine and festive atmosphere. A group of students performed a skit depicting the story of Lord Ganesha’s birth, which was appreciated by all present.


 

Teachers highlighted the importance of Ganesh Chaturthi, explaining the significance of the festival and its cultural and spiritual values. Students also shared their thoughts on how Lord Ganesha inspires qualities like humility, wisdom, and dedication.

 



The event concluded with the distribution of Prasad among students, staff, and parents who were present. The celebration instilled a sense of unity, devotion, and respect for traditions in all participants.
 
The Ganesh Chaturthi celebration was a wonderful opportunity for students to learn about and experience the rich cultural heritage of India.
 

 



UNIVERSAL  BROTHERHOOD DAY CELEBRATION

 On 11th September 2024, Vivekananda Kendra Zilla Parishad Vidyalaya Kadamtala celebrated Universal Brotherhood Day with great enthusiasm and reverence. The event commemorated the historic speech delivered by Swami Vivekananda at the Parliament of Religions in Chicago on this day in 1893. The program aimed to spread the message of unity, harmony, and brotherhood among people from all walks of life.




The celebration began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, followed by a prayer. The Chief Guest, Dr. C. Rani, a doctor of homeopathy from PHC Kadamtala, was warmly welcomed along with other distinguished guests, including Shyamal Das, GTT from GSS Uttara, and Abhinay Golder, the SMC Chairman. Several SMC members were also present, adding grace to the occasion.


                                                                                                   


The cultural program was the highlight of the day, showcasing the talents of the students through a variety of performances:

Speeches: Thought-provoking speeches were delivered by students emphasizing the significance of Universal Brotherhood Day and Swami Vivekananda’s vision of world unity and peace. The Chief Guest, Dr. Rani, also addressed the gathering, highlighting the relevance of brotherhood in today’s world and encouraging students to follow the ideals of Swami Vivekananda.


Dances: A series of mesmerizing dance performances by the students added color and vibrancy to the event, celebrating the cultural diversity of India.

Songs: Patriotic songs were sung by the school choir, invoking a sense of national pride and unity among the audience.

Skits: The students performed a skit based on Swami Vivekananda’s life and teachings, portraying his impactful speech at the Parliament of Religions and his message of universal tolerance and acceptance

The day ended on a harmonious note, with students, teachers, and guests reflecting on the values of peace, unity, and mutual respect that Swami Vivekananda propagated.
